Classes

The violin program can be started at any age or level.  I use my own developed program for the younger musicians to teach them the skills and practising techniques that they will need to advance in their instrument.  This program is the result of my own experience in both learning and teaching the violin for over 10 years.

My adult program gets you playing your instrument while sounding great from your first lession.  It's very important to me that you enjoy not only your lessons, but also practising throughout the week.  To do this you will get your own individualized practise schedule to keep you motivated.

As a singing student you will learn that posture and performance is just as important to your singing technique as your warm-ups and your song choices.  We will work on your breathing, how to form perfectly pitched notes and get you singing in front of people in no time.  To be a good singer, practise is very important, so you will get an individualized calender with your exercises.  We will work together to find the time you need to practise and you will see this is easier than you expected.

Performance is part of being a musician so there will be plenty of opportunities throughout the year for you to perform, however, not every student feels comfortable on stage and that is okay too, as you are not obligated to perform..

The intermediate class builds on the skills acquired in the beginner's classes.  Students will continue working with their instrument and build a strong foundation in reading and writing music.

The advanced class is for students who have been playing consistently for over 5 years. Lessons can be tailored to your individual needs.  Guidance in VCE programs or AMEB exams is also available on a short term basis.  Please make an appointment for further details.
